Benelli TRK 702

The TRK 702, in fact, is an all-round tourer two-wheeler that offers maximum comfort to the rider and passenger with an excellent driving feel. Developed by Benelli's Research & Development Centre in Pesaro, Italy, it expands and complements the TRK range, placing it in the mid-range segment.

It is flexible and ideal for long journeys. It moves thanks to the all-new Benelli 698cc twin-cylinder engine, developed as a result of the need to create an intermediate product range between the 500cc and 800cc engines. Thus, taking advantage of the experience gained during the development and industrialization of the two types of engines, the 702 has evolved into a model with incredibly significant performance thanks to Benelli's experience and development. The heart of the TRK 702 delivers 70 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm giving an excellent response, thanks to the 7.1kgm of torque the vehicle has (51.5 kW) at 8000 rpm. In addition, it has two overhead camshafts, with 4 valves per cylinder, chain-driven and crankshaft driven, with crankshaft pins offset by 180°. Features electronic fuel injection with dual 41mm throttle body. The transmission unit, on the other hand, features a 6-speed gearbox with a wet clutch and torque converter, which significantly reduces the force to be applied to the clutch lever, while maintaining smooth and precise gear engagement.

It also features a traditional tubular steel frame, typical of the models manufactured by Leoncino, which is specifically derived from the 500cc model, able to guarantee handling and stability in all conditions. The suspension consists of an inverted fork (upside down) with 50mm bolts and 140mm travel at the front and a swingarm with a central single shock with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping, with 45mm travel (154mm at the wheel).

Comfort and functionality are the hallmarks of the TRK 702, which comes standard with a large headlight fairing that provides optimum protection for both rider and passenger. Optional heated grips and saddle are available, which can be easily activated from the backlit handlebar control centre to provide maximum visibility even at night.

As for the braking system, it ensures high performance thanks to the 2 floating discs (floating) with a diameter of 320mm at the front and four-piston calipers, as well as a 260mm diameter disc at the rear with a single-piston caliper. The 17-inch alloy wheels are fitted with Pirelli Angel GT 120/70 and 160/60 spore touring tyres, achieving maximum traction. The TRK 702, thanks to the development of ergonomics that Benelli wishes to offer to all riders, has been adapted to be more accessible to an even wider range of riders thanks to the saddle height of 790mm giving the bike agility and optimal geometry. Because it is designed for touring, the TRK 702 features a 20-litre fuel tank with 4 litres of reserve fuel, with fuel consumption of 4.6L /100km offering unlimited travel range. The comfortable pair of passenger grab handles, which also serve as a design feature complete the look and style.

The motorcycle also comes with a full LED headlight unit and a 5" high-resolution colour TFT screen, which has a Bluetooth connection to display incoming calls. The handlebar controls also allow answering or ending a call. In addition, by downloading the app on the mobile phone and with a wifi connection, via phone mirroring it is possible to turn the dashboard into a navigator. Benelli's goal is for the modern rider to be able to safely and easily operate all the applications they need during their journey.

The design of the new TRK 702, created by the Benelli Style Centre in Pesaro, Italy, is based on original, unobtrusive lines, maintaining the feel of the TRK family while evolving to create a more aggressive and modern style, giving the bike an undeniable personality.

The TRK 702 is also available in a version for A2 licence holders with 35kw.
